To create or to explore is to accept uncertainty.

My story

Statement

Living and working in the Illawarra, Dharawal land, I find endless inspiration in its textures, patterns, and quiet resilience.

After retiring from teaching, I stepped into the studio at West Wollongong TAFE and discovered the intricate, rewarding world of printmaking. What began as an exploration quickly became a lifelong dialogue between process and place.

Printmaking allows me to slow down and pay attention—to the way light shifts through gum leaves, to the patterns of water over stone, to the sense of belonging stitched into land. With each print, I layer thought and memory, experimenting with techniques like etching, linocut, and lithograph to express what words cannot.

My practice is shaped by curiosity and an intrinsic need to create. Through ink and pressure, I seek to translate the subtle rhythms of my environment and reflect the emotional textures of living on this land.
